We really enjoyed making this preview; however, we found it pretty difficult to make a preview before the film was completely finalized. We have a vision for our final video and hope that in the end this preview is a good representation of what our final project ends up being. We also recognize the importance of a preview in gaining viewership and giving people a feel for the coming attraction. The mode of storytelling can be just as appealing in a preview as in a feature film. We think that this is because the mode of storytelling emphasizes the individual nature of each story which is easy to portray in a few seconds and even more effective when portrayed in its full nature. This is what we found appealing in Word Is Out, being given a glimpse into a person's life in their own words, and is part of the inspiration behind this movie. Tarnation was our other form of inspiration for the rawness of the footage and story portrayed. We hope that our movie can embody this feature as well.
